Microsoft has dropped its beta tag for Windows Live Skydrive, and the storage has also increased to 5GB.

I am not a big fan of M$’s products, but because Google simply hasn’t launched the online storage solution, and Skydrive’s 5GB storage is certainly attractive.

The alternative is Digital Bucket which provides a highly scalable, reliable, and fast platform to store and retrieve data, however, the free service only has 100MB of storage with 200MB monthly bandwidth, and the maximum upload file size is limited to 5MB.

So until Google provides me with something better, I think I will be with Skydrive for a while.

Windows Live Skydrive is now available in the following countries:

Australia,
Austria,
