Last time I went to the city to watch the firework was on New Year’s Eve 2005 when my wife arrived in Melbourne for the first time. And for the following years we spent the night with friends at home and watched TV. I did go to the city with friends before 2005, and realised that it has no difference every year, and I don’t feel comfortable with so many people around and so much noise. So we decided to celebrate this special night with friends at home this year again.
Nemo, Nata, Carol and Sarah joined us last night to have hot pot dinner. And we watched the BeiJing Olympics Opening Ceremony using the HD video I downloaded, to enjoy the proud moment of Chinese people again.
New is the year, new are the hopes and the aspirations, new is the resolution, new are the spirits and forever my warm wishes are for all of my friends and families. Have a promising and fulfilling new year.
